Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Sesa Platform ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sesa Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, with changes taking effect upon posting to our website.

Legal Admissibility and Archival Standards

Sesa Platform is designed to meet legal and archival standards as defined by Ghana law:

Important: While our transcriptions are designed to meet legal admissibility standards, the ultimate determination of admissibility rests with the relevant courts and legal authorities. Users should consult with legal counsel for specific use cases.

Service Description

  • Sesa Platform provides automated transcription services for Asante Twi audio content
  • Machine translation services from Asante Twi to English and vice versa
  • Digital archiving and storage solutions for audio and text content
  • API access for integration with third-party systems (Professional and Institutional plans)
  • User management and collaboration tools for organizations

User Responsibilities

  • Ensure you have proper rights and permissions for all uploaded audio content
  • Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms
  • Respect intellectual property rights and cultural sensitivities

Content Ownership and Licensing

  • You retain all rights to your original audio content and transcriptions
  • By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI models (with your consent)
  • All output transcriptions and translations belong to you
  • We respect the cultural significance of traditional and customary content

Service Availability and Performance

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Transcription accuracy targets: Standard (85%+), Professional (89%+), Institutional (92%+)
  • Processing times may vary based on audio length, quality, and system load
  • Emergency maintenance may cause temporary service interruptions
  • Performance metrics are provided for transparency and continuous improvement

Payment and Billing Terms

Subscription Plans

  • • Monthly billing in Ghana Cedis (GH₵)
  • • Automatic renewal unless cancelled
  • • 14-day free trial for new users
  • • Usage overages charged at pay-per-use rates
  • • Institutional plans require annual commitment

Refund Policy

  • • Full refund within 30 days of initial subscription
  • • Pro-rated refunds for annual plans
  • • No refunds for pay-per-use charges
  • • Service credits for documented outages
  • • Institutional refunds subject to contract terms

Intellectual Property and Cultural Heritage

We recognize the cultural and historical significance of traditional content processed through our platform:

  • All traditional and customary content remains the property of the contributing communities
  • We commit to cultural sensitivity in handling traditional legal proceedings
  • Users must ensure proper authorization before uploading community content
  • Our AI models are trained with respect for cultural context and meaning

Limitation of Liability

While we strive for accuracy and reliability, users acknowledge the following limitations:

  • AI-generated transcriptions may contain errors and should be reviewed
  • Cultural and contextual nuances may not always be perfectly captured
  • Users are responsible for final review and validation of outputs
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the preceding 12 months

Termination and Data Export

Either party may terminate this agreement with appropriate notice:

User Termination

  • • Cancel subscription anytime through account settings
  • • Export data before termination deadline
  • • Data available for download for 90 days post-cancellation

Service Termination

  • • 30-day notice for non-payment
  • • Immediate termination for terms violation
  • • Data export assistance provided when possible
